If you think you can do something alone, either because you don’t trust others to do it or because you feel you are the most qualified…
* you will always be busy doing everything,
* you will be unhappy with others because they are not doing what you want,
* you will be dissatisfied.
It is more effective to invest your time in training and developing others. There is greater success in cooperation

Gifts Of Virtues
More valuable than the things we give to each other are the gifts of virtues we pass on quietly to others through our selfless and noble actions. These gifts are truly precious because they are imperishable and they multiply the more we share them.
Simplicity
Peace is simplicity. Simplicity is beauty. Choose a day as your day of simplicity. Speak little, and listen with attention. Do something incognito and nice for a person you are close to. Eat simple and natural food. Create time periods for not doing anything - just walk, look around, live the moment. Have your mind open to a more profound and silent sensitivity. Appreciate each scene and each person as they are. In the evening, write down your discoveries. Observe the state of your mind.

An Eye For Pearls Of Truth
There is an old story about two types of birds. The crow is the type that is attracted to dirt and filth. Wherever there is rubbish, I find the crow feasting noisily. Then there is the swan. It sees only goodness and things of value. If there are pearls and pebbles, the swan easily discerns and selects the pearls. To gossip, to lie, to use bad language is to have crow-like chracteristics. To see only the good in everything and everyone, to hear only what is uplifting is to have swan-like characteristics.

Basic Make Up Tips
Today makeup is like other fashion, anything goes if it works
for you. That means taking into consideration your skin tone, activity, age, etc.
Don't wear too much make up. The more make up you wear the older and cheaper you look. Below are some general guidelines on how to apply make up.

Don't wear too much make up. The more make up you wear the older and cheaper you look. Below are some general guidelines on how to apply make up.
Foundation
Your make up foundation should match your skin tone. Try a small
amount of a yellow based foundation and a small amount of pink based foundation
to see which stays neutral. Go with the neutral one. If you prefer a smooth
even finish, you should use a foundation brush (a brush for foundation
application).
For oily skin use an oil-free liquid foundation. If you have normal or dry skin, try a creamy moisturizing formula.
Covering Up Dark CirclesFor oily skin use an oil-free liquid foundation. If you have normal or dry skin, try a creamy moisturizing formula.
Choose a concealer that matches your skin color or a shade
slightly lighter than your foundation. Apply foundation under eyes first and
don't forget the innermost area. For a smooth finish use a brush to blend the
concealer. A touch of powder makes it set and last longer (use sparingly).
Eyeshadow
Before applying put a little foundation or powder on the eye lid
and apply bone shadow all over the eyelid before a color.
Mascara
For best results roll brush upward when you apply. Let it dry
before adding a second coat. Waterproof formulas are too drying for everyday
use.
Lips
Use a lip liner or
pencil and don't go outside the natural borders of your lips.
5 make up tips to give you a lift
1) Wrinkles:
Avoid exposure to the sun (wear sun glasses) Avoid exposure to cigarette smoke. Stay away from anything with shimmer, it only emphasizes the wrinkles. 2) Protect Your Skin: Wear sunscreen -SPF 15 and above. Wear a hat or visor. 3) Soften the Lines: Use super-hydrating products like moisture-rich foundations, creamy eye shadows and blushes, and moisturizing balms. Use liner to prevent lipstick "bleed" 4) Powder: Apply lightly (helps your makeup last). Test a yellow-based powder and a pink-based powder to see which stays neutral and is most flattering for you. 5) Eyeliner: Apply from one corner of your eye to the other. |
Want Not
The next time you are waiting for anything, notice what you are wanting! This will be a source of your tension or impatience. All desire has fear built in - fear of not getting or losing, even before your desire is fulfilled. The secret is to want nothing, and then magic happens, for lo and behold, all that you need and more arrives in your life, at the right time, in the right way.

Enthusiasm inspires others...
The one who is constantly full of enthusiasm inspires others. Whenever problems come our way, we tend to feel weighed down by negative thoughts. Heaviness in the mind prevents us from moving forward with enthusiasm and makes it tricky for us to inspire others. Whenever I encounter a difficult situation, I need to make a special effort to remain free and light. The more enthusiastic I am, the more progress I will make. My attitude will inspire others, too.

Forgetting and Remembering
Life is a game of forgetting and remembering. You are losing the game when you... forget who you are and what you are doing here; remember the false things of the past and what they did to you. You are winning the game when you... remember your true identity of peace, remember God who is always peaceful and has unconditional love for you. Forget troubles of the past and move forward with the lessons learned. Observe what you remember during the day and what you forget during the day. Forget the past, it is gone. Don't worry about the future. You do not know it. Learn to live in the present and discover how full it is of peaceful moments.

Fix of almonds
In finding
a healthy lifestyle, I decided to look for ways to avoid bingeing on junk food
and the solution came from my curiosity with nuts. Peanuts, cashew nuts,
almonds, pistachio etc. I googled about the health benefits of eating nuts and
I resolved that amongst all the different types I would go with almonds.
So I
went looking for a supermarket I can find natural raw California almonds – the preferred
brand was “Members Mark” and luckily for me I found a shelf full of them. Quickly
I grabbed a bag which weighed about 3Kg . what it cost? I wasn’t bothered about how
expensive it was all I could think of was how it would taste in my mouth!
Three months
down the line I cannot get my taste buds off almonds, I have practically become
an almond junkie! Looking at the jar in my room where I usually store them it
has been empty for weeks and my supplier the supermarket is out of stock!!!
An
order that was placed over 4 weeks ago for three bags of
almonds and still no almonds has left me with a withdrawal syndrome. Thanks to my cousin who thought it nice to
find me some just yesterday it was a very small bowl that tasted exactly like
the almond brand I like and looking through the pack it read as its tag line….healthy
obsession. LOL!
